Born in Denmark in 1988, Thiru Manickam established Manickam Studio to explore the intersection of geometry, technology, and timeless design. As an architect and designer with a global portfolio, Thiru specializes in creating bespoke architectural elements for retail and residential spaces, from sculptural stairs to custom millwork and lighting.

With experience gained working in Copenhagen, Vienna, London, Shanghai, and New York, Thiru brings an international perspective to each project, merging precision and craftsmanship with an emphasis on innovation and tradition. His work has garnered awards such as the RDI Award and the Architizer A+ Award. Notable projects include the organ at Musikkens Hus in Aalborg and luxury retail environments for brands like Jimmy Choo, Louis Vuitton, and Louis XIII.

Now based in Porto, Portugal, Thiru continues to expand his practice, crafting immersive, cinematic spaces that transform design into storytelling.
